1. What are the benefits of Ashtanga Yoga?

1. Increase in breath awareness, flexibility, focus, balance, strength, overall well being, and so much more. Yoga is not an objective science where you can observe from outside. Yoga is subjective and can only be experienced.

2. My body is stiff, I am not that flexible, I don't think I can do difficult poses, can I still practice yoga?

Yes! Don’t worry if you can’t touch your toes. As long as you are breathing, you can practice yoga.  The beauty of a Mysore-style class is that you will progress at a pace that suits you and your body, and over time you will become stronger and more flexible. You don't know what you are capable of unless you try.

3. What is the right age to learn Yoga?

Anyone above the age of 8 can practice Yoga. Young, old, very old, sick, all can practice, only lazy people can't practice Ashtanga Yoga :)

4. What should I wear to my first class?

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You might find it helpful to wear clothes that allow you to move comfortably and keep cool. Shorts or leggings and a t-shirt or vest work well.  

5. When can I start my classes?
